Physical Wellness and Smahhts

I have to research this further, but I've been mulling over the following theory:

  1. Consistent aerobic and anaerobic exercises contribute to a low heart rate and low stress levels
  2. A low heart rate creates a slowed perception of time
  3. A slowed perception of time allows for greater creativity, problem-solving, planning, etc.
Whereas..
  1. a high heart rate allows for high stress
  2. creates a more urgent sense of time, which then
  3. creates the sense that one should force oneself into making ill-informed / snap decisions, responding with anger, and cutting out high-priority / low urgency tasks, such as aerobic and anaerobic exercise

Okay that's not exactly the epiphany I thought it would be after I wrote it, but it's still excellent support for prioritizing fitness as a vital conduit to cognitive (read: professional) performance.
