Next Stage in Optimization

When I started the MVVA process, I was so happy with the concept of aligning my ideas with my actions. In the weeks following the start of that concept, I've learned several key things:

  1. Awareness of the problems as they currently exist, creates plenty of triggers for improvements
  2. Over-planning creates a rigid system that usually will face big obstacles. Simple, comprehensive rules/incentives create more nimble systems that are adaptable to change, surprises, etc.
  3. Prioritization is a must; it turns out that right now, my emotional category is MOST lacking and therefore needs the greatest attention. That's a fortunate issue, since the lead flow for my job-hunting is so low...
  4. Simplicity is also a must. Complex systems create as many issues as rigid ones. Therefore, a very simple "map" showing a simple status, the goal, a link to a more comprehensive document, and a link to a comprehensive list of to-do's [organized by PERFIPS category, step, status, comment] will make for a every efficient, consolidated approach to reaching my goals. Instead of separate plans in separate files, all needing to be coordinated by some sort of integrating system, it's just sitting there in one spreadsheet, which helps ensure realistic planning [a weakness of mine].
Therefore:

I can quickly create MVVAs for the obvious things, such as shelter, finance, etc., but I need to get my head around emotional intelligence. There are several resources and books on this, which seem to focus on empathy as a primary skill.

For a variety of reasons, my empathy is quite low. I can see, for example, how my strict upbringing not only overly encouraged rigid thinking, but also a lack of emotional understanding. It's not important, for example, to care about how one feels or how I feel, it's simply important to complete the task on time in the way it was ordered. That's pretty inhuman when you think about it...

Anyway, by effectively 'downloading' lots of info about empathy and emotional intelligence, I think I can quickly develop a MVVM for the Emotional category. Right now, however, I wouldn't even know where to begin in creating a mission statement.

So, I've missed goals because they didnt factor other obstructions, priorities; because they weren't nimble or realistic; and because I had/have a blind spot about my emotional awareness and skills, which makes it difficult to sustain relationships virtually or literally.
