Planning Phase 2


Given my little victories so far and reflecting on what I've learned so far, I am setting out on a new Mission, Vision, Values and Action, due to be realized by May, 2014

    5. If possible, plant seeds for planning the back half of my life

  1. Maintain disciplined foundational focus
    • Button down daily system of meds + sleep + whole food + exercise + meditation
    • Improve diets and workout intensity/frequency. Go for a ripped body.
    • Tracking
      • Health:
        • Eric: checkups for prostate, BP, choresterol, colon cancer, dental, eyes, gen physical
        • Wife- checkups for BP, choresterol, colon cancer, dental, eyes, breast cancer, papsmear, ostio, mamograms, gen physical, diabetes
        • Fia: annual checkups /immunizations
        • Tessa: annual checkups /immunizations
      • Professional:
        • Throughput in execution report
        • sales in SF
        • marketing KPIs marketing tracking report
      • Property:
        • truck: docs, milage checkups, oil changes
        • car: docs, milage checkups, oil changes
        • house: docs, cleaning schedule,
        • time share: docs; calendar for visits
      • Financial:
        • bills/waste
        • portfolio
      • Kids behavior & development:
        • following orders
        • doing extra
        • , listening learning  What are great learning apps for the girls
      • Marriage well-being:
        • partnership rating & recos
      • Social/fun:
        • TBD, but something simple around date nights, hosting parties, visiting ppl
  2. Invest in my head and heart
    • Use ‘intellectual’ to solve all problems, challenges, and  deliver optimizations
    • Meditate to explore spirituality and garner inner peace and a ‘good vibe’ to help relationships and lower my emotional needs on others
  3. Improve my relationships
    • Prioritize time for relationships with focus on giving, not getting
      • guard against isolation, which is my trigger for loneliness
    • Increase my parenting responsibilities
      • Create/schedule better “projects” and quality learning times
      • Get much more involved in their education and development
      • Set better example for healthy activity
  4. Aggressively look for efficiencies to yield greater results
    • Organize and continually update protocols for efficient execution, managing to-dos, work/home/parenting projects in G drive
    • Adopt daily to-dos system (even weekends)
    • Quantify and track efficient protocols for these work, family and home projects:
      • Work execution
        • RFPs and proposals
        • Success posters n other fast turn arounds
        • Sf maintenance /Sales follow up
        • Staying organized (despite surprises, setbacks)
        • Meetings and presos
        • Special initiatives
          • Content marketing
          • R&G
          • Key accounts
      • Home
        • Big projects: yard, cleaning, improvements, etc
        • Ongoing projects tidying up, laundry, financials, filing MAIL
      • Family
        • Teambuilding with my wife
        • Our/Kids health, fitness, education planning/discussions/ research
        • Fun/quality time and activities
        • Dad’s health obligations
      • Relationships
        • Be the sunny example
        • be alert to each person’s role / needs
        • Establish & track how to work with their weaknesses, self image, and desires
  • If possible, plant seeds for planning the back half of my life
    • career: maybe the best career path is being ‘the guy who can bring in the money’
    • health/finances: setting up myself and my family for their continued well-being
