There's a period of time when everyone seems to be in the same routine. Things come together, as it were. I think about the Patriots in the early part of this decade. Then, the team started to lose players, and the ones that remained got injured and older, they were hit by a scandal, and, well, it changed. They stopped winning championships, and we stopped thinking they were the underdogs. The moment passed.
The same was true at my time at a smaller agency. And while leaving was difficult, I knew the moment was gone, and it was pointless to stick around and pretend I was up for the effort to pretend it hadnt.
I feel like the moment is about to change - big time. I think I'll look back on this uneasy and trying time a bit wistfully - like I do that small agency. I hope so, anyway..
